Website Widget Installation

Add the TXT Me Now chat widget to any website. Works with WordPress, Shopify, Wix, Squarespace, and custom HTML sites.

WordPress

WordPress Installation

  1. Log in to your WordPress admin panel
  2. Go to Appearance → Theme File Editor
  3. Select footer.php from the file list
  4. Paste the widget code before </body>
  5. Click Update File

Alternative: Use a plugin like "Insert Headers and Footers" to add the code without editing theme files.

Shopify

Shopify Installation

  1. Go to your Shopify admin panel
  2. Navigate to Online Store → Themes
  3. Click Actions → Edit Code
  4. Find theme.liquid in the Layout folder
  5. Paste the widget code before </body>
  6. Click Save
Wix

Wix Installation

  1. Open the Wix Editor for your site
  2. Click Settings in the left menu
  3. Go to Custom Code (under Advanced)
  4. Click + Add Custom Code
  5. Paste the widget code
  6. Set placement to Body - End
  7. Choose which pages to load on (All Pages recommended)
  8. Click Apply
Squarespace

Squarespace Installation

  1. Go to your Squarespace site settings
  2. Navigate to Website → Website Tools → Code Injection
  3. Paste the widget code in the Footer section
  4. Click Save

Note: Code Injection requires a Squarespace Business plan or higher.

Custom HTML

Static Website / Custom HTML

For any static HTML site, add the widget script tag directly to your HTML files:

  1. Open your HTML file in a code editor
  2. Find the closing </body> tag
  3. Paste the widget code right before it
  4. Save and deploy your updated file

Training Your AI (Knowledge Base)

The Knowledge Base is where you teach your AI chatbot about your business. The more information you provide, the better it answers customer questions.

What to include:

  • Business Information: Name, address, hours, phone, email, website
  • Products / Services: Descriptions, pricing, features, availability
  • Policies: Shipping, returns, refunds, cancellation, warranties
  • FAQs: Common customer questions with detailed answers
  • Promotions: Current deals, discounts, seasonal offers

Tips for best results:

  • Be specific and detailed - include exact prices, times, and policies
  • Sync in batches of up to 2,000 words at a time
  • Update regularly as your business info changes
  • Use the Edit Memory feature to review and clean up snippets

Customizing Your Chatbot

Use the AI Config Agent in the iOS app to customize your chatbot using natural language commands:

  • Bot Name: "Change the bot name to Sarah"
  • Greeting: "Make the greeting more casual and friendly"
  • Language: "Set the default language to Spanish"
  • Personality: "Make the bot more formal and professional"
  • Brand Colors: "Change the primary color to blue"
  • Avatar: Upload a custom avatar image for your chatbot

Live Support Setup

Enable live support to let customers chat with you directly when AI isn't enough:

  1. Open the TXT Me Now iOS app
  2. Go to your Dashboard
  3. Toggle Live Support on
  4. When a customer requests a live agent, you'll receive a push notification
  5. Tap the notification to join the conversation from the Support Queue
  6. Chat in your language — messages are automatically translated for the customer

Note: You can handle all live support directly from your phone. When you go offline, the AI takes over automatically.

Widget Customization

The chat widget can be customized with attributes:
